Crime Didn’t Pay

A 46-year-old Dundas man will appear in court later today after being arrested for a convenience store robbery.

On Monday, August 19, 2019, shortly before 2: 00 a.m., plain-clothed police officers who were working proactively, noted suspicious activity which included a male outside a convenience store, in the area of York Road and Cootes Drive, Dundas. The male was observed standing outside the store as he put on a disguise. He then entered the store. Recognizing the potential for a robbery, the request for additional units was made. As the male exited the store, he was arrested without incident.

The male was not successful in obtaining any items from the store. He was taken into police custody and is scheduled to appear at the John Sopinka Courthouse today to answer to criminal charges.
