Further Charges Laid in Mohawk College Protest

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, as a result of the ongoing investigation into the actions of protestors in attendance at Mohawk College on Sunday, September 29, 2019, Hamilton Police have made an additional arrest.

Charged: Michael Lickers, 27-years-of-age from Hamilton

Charges: Assault Level One and Intimidation

Lickers was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of Tuesday, December 24, 2019.

Further, on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Hamilton Police laid additional charges against Alaa Al Soufi. Mr Al Soufi was previously arrested and charged on October 23rd, 2019. These additional charges were as a result of witnesses coming forward and the review of further video evidence.

Charged: Alaa AL SOUFI, 27-year-of-age from Toronto

Charges: Assault Level One, Theft Under $5,000, Intimidation, Disguise with Intent

Al Soufi’s additional charges were laid at his scheduled court appearance.
