Hamilton and Halton Police Looking to Identify Robbery Suspect

Hamilton and Halton Police need assistance identifying the male involved in robberies from the Hamilton and Halton area.

On May 10, 2018, shortly before 3 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to Scotia Bank at 997 Fennell Avenue East for a robbery.

A lone male suspect entered the branch and approached the clerk who was working the counter. The suspect produced a note stating it was a robbery and made demands for money. The suspect was able to obtain a large amount of currency before successfully fleeing the bank.

Suspect description:

  • Male white, tall
  • Mid 50’s, unshaven
  • Wearing a light-coloured ball cap, dark sweater, dark pants, black and white shoes

On July 24, 2018, shortly before 1 p.m., Halton Police Service responded to the TD Bank at 1505 Guelph Line in Burlington for a robbery.

A lone male suspect entered the branch and approached the clerk who was working the counter. The suspect produced a note advising it was a robbery and stated that he would hurt the clerk. The suspect was able to obtain a small amount of currency before successfully fleeing the bank. There were no injuries.

Suspect description:

  • Male white
  • 40-50 years, slim build
  • Wearing black pants, a black jacket, black/ blue jays hat

Hamilton and Halton Detectives believe the same suspect is responsible for both robberies and requesting the public’s help.
