Overnight stabbing on Hamilton Mountain

A 39-year-old Hamilton man was arrested early this morning after an isolated assault at a workplace on the east mountain.

On Thursday, February 25, 2021, shortly after 4:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a business in the area of Glover Road and Twenty Road East for a report of an assault.

Once on scene, officers located two female victims, one in her late 40’s and the other in her late teens. Both victims had received multiple stab wounds.

The victims were transported to hospital, where they are currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 39-year–old Hamilton man was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault a short time after and was taken into police custody.

The two victims and the arrested male are all employees of the business.

The Division Three Criminal Investigation Branch have taken over the investigation that remains ongoing. A police presence is expected in the area for the majority of the day.
