Police Arrest Hamilton Man for Incident Involving BB Gun

Hamilton Police responded to a weapons call in the area of Cannon Street and Victoria Avenue. It was believed one male involved was in possession of a possible firearm. Police attended the area, located two victims, one being a female who had received minor injuries. She was cleared medically on scene and the suspect located at a residence shortly afterwards. He was arrested and will appear in court on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, to answer to several charges. Police have seized a BB gun and other evidenced related to the incident.

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, shortly after 4:00 p.m., Hamilton Police attended the area of Cannon Street East and Victoria Avenue North, Hamilton, in response to a reported weapons call. Information forwarded to police described an altercation between two males. One male had allegedly pointed a possible firearm at the other. A description of the male suspect was also provided. Once on scene Hamilton Police located two victims, a male and female. The female involved in the incident received a minor injury to her face. She was treated and cleared by EMS on scene.

Information provided, stated the suspect entered a residence nearby. Police attended the residence and requested the occupants exit the structure. Three parties were subsequently secured without incident, one matching the suspect description.

As the investigation continued a search warrant was issued for the residence stated above. Police seized several items to support criminal charges toward the suspect. The suspect was arrested and will appear in court on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, to answer to several criminal charges.
