Police Investigate Bank Deposit Robbery

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit continues to investigate a robbery of two employees while they were depositing their employer’s cash sales. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s vehicle. He remains outstanding along with the vehicle.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, shortly before 9: 30 p.m., two employees of a local retail store were in the process of depositing the cash sales at a bank depository located in the area of Upper Wentworth and Mohawk Road. They were approached by a male in possession of a handgun. The suspect demanded the cash deposits, which were turned over to him. He then took their vehicle, a white 2011 Honda Odyssey and fled the scene.

The employees were not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as follows:

  • Male
  • Caucasian
  • 45–55-years-of-age
  • Long hair
  • Grey beard
  • Green jacket
  • Baseball hat
