HPS Investigating Suspicious Westdale Fire

Hamilton Police Service is investigating after a fire occurred at 990 King Street West in Hamilton.

On Sunday, May 12th, 2019, just shortly after 12 p.m., Hamilton Police received reports of smoke in the area of Tha'ar King Clothes in the Westdale Village. The building was found to be engulfed in flames. Traffic was redirected while the fire was extinguished by Hamilton Fire. No one was injured from the fire. The fire is considered to be suspicious and the Fire Marshall will be attending. The damage to the building is estimated at $250,000.
