Co-Accused Charged with Manslaughter and Assault with a Weapon

Hamilton Police have concluded the investigation into the stabbing of Joshua Leo and the assault of a second male. The two accused appeared in court to answer to charges of Manslaughter and Assault with Weapon.

On Friday, December 7th, 2018 at approximately 4:40 p.m., Joshua Leo and friends to a cul-de-sac at the north end of Pinewarbler Drive near Bruelville Park, Hamilton. They had arranged to meet Dawson Farr at that location to purchase drugs.

Once in the company of Joshua and the second victim, Farr and Tae Yoon Park entered the vehicle and soon afterwards an altercation erupted. Joshua was subsequently fatally stabbed in the chest and his 18-year-old friend receiving minor stab wounds to his upper body. Efforts were made by Joshua’s friend to drive him to medical assistance, however; due to the severity of his injuries, EMS was called to assist and transport.

Joshua Leo succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The second victim was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

After an intensive investigation, the suspects were identified and arrested. Hamilton Police have charged Tae Yoon Park, 27-years-of-age from Hamilton in relation to Hamilton’s 9th Homicide of the year. The co-accused Dawson Farr, 18-years-of-age was before the courts on Sunday, December 10, 2018. Both accused have been charged with Manslaughter and Assault with a Weapon.
