Drugs and Firearm Seized After Vehicle Stop

Vehicle stop led to the arrest of three adult males from Hamilton and the seizure of a firearm, ammunition, cash and illicit drugs.

On Tuesday, December 8, 2020, shortly after 7:30p.m., a grey Hyundai Sonata was observed in the area of Barton Street East and East Avenue North.

There was a strong odour of fresh cannabis emanating from the vehicle.

Through further investigation, police determined the males were in possession of a firearm, illicit drugs, a large sum of Canadian currency and other evidence to support the trafficking of drugs.
