Early Morning Prowler Nabbed Inside Resident's Garage

A homeowner is alerted by outside motion lights in the early morning hours. Police respond to the area and locate male hiding on the property.

On April 22, 2019, shortly after 2:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a prowler trying to enter into parked vehicles in the Dickenson Road East area in Hamilton. Police arrived and noticed a bicycle suspiciously placed up against a car while parked in a residential driveway.

Police knocked on the door and spoke to the homeowner and confirmed the bicycle did not belong to them.

Police checked the exterior property around the home and during a clearance inside the garage an unknown male was found huddled in the corner of the garage.

The male was arrested and taken into central custody. He is scheduled to appear in court today for a bail hearing.
