Help Identify Mountain Break and Enter Suspect

Hamilton Police are appealing to the public in an attempt to identify a male suspect responsible for a residential break-in in the area of Upper Ottawa Street and Rymal Road East in Hamilton.

On November 18, 2019, shortly after 12:30 p.m., the homeowner was at work when he received a notification from his home security system. The homeowner returned to his residence to find the break-in. The security video captured the male suspect who broke into the residence.

Police believe this suspect may be related to the two break-ins that occurred in the Rexford Neighbourhood, earlier that same date.

Police are requesting residents in the area to check their home security systems for any suspicious activity that occurred during the time of this incident. Hamilton Police are also reminding homeowners to notify the police immediately of any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods.

Suspect Description:

  • White male, 40-50 years of age
  • 5’6” to 5'9" tall, medium build
  • Clean-shaven, wearing a dark long hooded winter coat, dark baseball cap
  • Dark pants, dark shoes and carrying a dark backpack
