Hamilton Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

Hamilton Police arrest a 33-year-old male for a serious assault in Hamilton. 

On Saturday February 9, 2019, just shortly before 11:30 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington after a report that a male patient had been admitted with serious, non-life threatening injuries after being assaulted in Hamilton. A police investigation determined that a physical altercation had occurred late Friday evening at a residence on Beach Boulevard in Hamilton.

The altercation involved two males who were both known to one another. The victim sustained serious injuries to his face and head and remains in hospital. The injuries do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.

On Sunday, February 10, 2019, a 33-year-old Hamilton man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. He is currently being held in custody, pending a bail hearing.

The investigation is continuing.
