Hamilton Man Arrested on Drug and Weapon Charges

Hamilton Police observed two occupants rummaging through a parked car. Through investigation, police learned one of the occupants was in possession of illicit drugs and a knife. The male was arrested and police subsequently located a replica firearm in his possession. A Hamilton man has been charged with weapon and drug offences.

On Sunday, September 30, 2018, shortly before 7:30 p.m., Hamilton Police were proactively patrolling the property of a commercial business in the area of Main Street East and Sanford Avenue South, Hamilton. As police surveyed the property they noted a male and female rummaging through a vehicle that was parked in a remote area of the parking lot. Through investigation police determined the parties were not related to the vehicle. The male party became agitated and attempted to leave. Further investigation revealed the male was in possession of approximately 7 grams of crystal meth and a knife. He was placed under arrest for possession of illicit drugs and the weapon. A search of the male lead to the discovery of a replica 357 revolver. The male attended court on Monday, October 1, 2018, to answer to the following charges:
