Hamilton Police Charge Man With Manslaughter in Robert Barberstock Murder
Hamilton Police are pleased to announce a significant development in the investigation into the murder of Robert Barberstock. Yesterday, September 5, 2023, investigators arrested Justin Barberstock for Manslaughter in connection to this murder.
On Friday, March 24, 2023 shortly before 4:00 p.m., Hamilton Police were called to the area of Sanford Avenue North and Acorn Street for a shooting that had just occurred. A 53-year-old Hamilton man was found deceased inside a residence.
Details of the incident are limited at this stage due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, however, we can confirm that Justin Barberstock has been arrested and taken into custody. He appeared for a bail hearing this morning and remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
While we have made three arrests in this case, we continue to investigate every lead and piece of evidence. Investigators believe there to be one remaining suspect in the murder.
