Hamilton Police End Crime Spree

On Thursday, December 12, 2019, and continuing until the morning of Sunday, December 15, 2019, ten Hamilton businesses were robbed including eight gas bars and two variety stores. During the robberies two males would enter the business and confront the employee, demanding cash while brandishing a firearm. None of the victims were physically harmed during the crimes.

In the early morning hours of December 15, 2019, after responding to two consecutive robberies in the downtown area and police on high alert, an officer observed the suspect vehicle pull into the lot of another gas station where the occupants exited and approached the door. Upon seeing the police officer the suspects retreated to their stolen vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed. Responding officers were able to locate the stolen auto that had been abandoned nearby, and also located the two suspects. A third accomplice, who is a young person, had been identified as a participant in an earlier robbery was also arrested and charged.
