Hamilton Police Investigate Collision on RHVP

Hamilton Police investigated a late night motor vehicle collision that resulted in the closure of the Red Hill Valley Parkway. Driver error has been established as the cause of the collision. The RHVP was closed during the investigation and was reopened before 2:00 a.m.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, shortly after 11:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles travelling northbound on the RHVP near Greenhill Avenue. Hamilton Police have determined the collision occurred as a result of driver error during a lane change.

Emergency Service partners including Hamilton Fire and Paramedics responded to assist police.

No vehicle occupants were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

The RHVP was closed during for the investigation and scene clean-up. It was reopened shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.

A 50-year-old man from Keswick was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Change lane not in safety.
