Hamilton Police Investigate Convenience Store Robbery

On Sunday April 15, 2018, shortly after 9:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a convenience store robbery at Avondale Convenience located at 1050 Paramount Drive, Stoney Creek.

A lone male suspect entered the store and vaulted the counter, producing a weapon. The suspect demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk. He obtained an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency and some tobacco products. He fled the scene southbound through the parking lot towards Mud Street.

The suspect can be described as:

  • Male
  • Late teens to early twenties
  • Medium build
  • 5'5"-5'9" tall
  • Clothing: black gloves, black pants, black/grey shoes with white/red soles (possibly Air Jordan), black waist length textured jacket with small white logo on arm, black shoulder/courier bag with white logo, blue hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings.
