Hamilton Police Investigate Fail to Remain

Hamilton Police continue to investigate an early morning fail to remain collision between a cyclist and a vehicle. The cyclist suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

On Sunday, December 29, 2019, shortly before 8:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of MacNab and Barton Street East for a fail to remain collision. Through investigation, police believe a 57-year-old Hamilton man was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the roadway on his bicycle at Barton and MacNab. The vehicle involved continued eastbound on Barton St. and then south on James St. fleeing the scene. The suspect vehicle was described as a white pick-up truck.

The Hamilton Police continues to investigate the incident and is appealing for witnesses to come forward and for residents in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity.
