Hamilton Police Investigate Mountain Area Stabbing

Hamilton Police detectives continue to investigate a stabbing incident that occurred Saturday afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Saturday, February 8, 2020, just shortly before 4:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a stabbing incident that just occurred in a parking lot in the area of Stone Church Road East and Upper Ottawa Street. Once on scene, police located a male suffering from injuries believed to have been caused by an edged weapon. The 31-year-old Hamilton man was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Hamilton Police maintained a presence in the area as the scene was processed.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Mountain Division Criminal Investigations Branch. With the information available at this time, police believe the incident was targeted.
