Hamilton Police Investigate Overnight Shooting Incident

On Monday, May 13, 2019, shortly after 12:30 a.m., Hamilton Police officers were called to Al-Omara Bar located at 796 Concession Street for reports of gunshots fired. At the time of the incident, there were approximately 15-20 patrons inside the establishment. No one was physically injured as a result of the shooting.

Police secured the area as the investigation continued. Evidence was recovered to confirm a firearm was discharged from the street area

Hamilton Police Division 30 - Criminal Investigative Bureau continues to investigate the incident and is asking residents in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity.

A police presence is expected today as officers will be canvassing for witnesses and video evidence.

There is no suspect information or motive established at this time.

This is the 23 shooting incident for 2019.
