A 25-year-old Hamilton woman will appear in court today to answer to assault-related charges.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, shortly after 3:00 p.m., two females who are known to each other were involved in a physical altercation at a residence in the area of Millwood Place and Carousel Avenue. One of the females received injuries caused by a knife. The 20-year-old victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was arrested without incident and taken into police custody. She was also charged with breaching two court orders.

The female will appear at the John Sopinka Courthouse later today.
