Update – Hamilton Police make an arrest in Shooting on the Mountain
On Saturday, December 10th, 2022 shortly before 4:00 am, Hamilton Police responded to the area of Upper James Street and Churchill Avenue for reports of a shooting that just occurred.
Police can confirm a shooting incident occurred and that one victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
On Sunday December 11th, 2022, Hamilton Police have identified and arrested a 19 year old male of Hamilton in relation to the shooting.
The 19 year old male has been charged with the following:
Discharge firearm with intent
Point firearm
Assault with a weapon
Possession of a schedule one substance
Police believe this to be a targeted incident and there is no further risk to public safety
