Hamilton police are currently investigating an overnight homicide.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m. this morning, Hamilton Police responded to an apartment located in the area of Melvin Avenue and Parkdale Avenue North, Hamilton.

Police are investigating a homicide. One person has been taken into custody.

It is early in the investigation and currently, no charges have been laid.
