Hamilton Police Make Arrests in Gage Park Assault

Hamilton Police continue to investigate the assault of a 14-year-old Hamilton youth that took place last Saturday in Gage Park. Hamilton Police have arrested two male youth and charged them with assault. The investigation continues and police are expecting to make additional arrests in the coming days.

On Saturday, August 19, 2018, Hamilton Police officers were in attendance at the Mid Summer’s Dream Colour Festival being held at Gage Park, 1000 Main Street East, Hamilton. Shortly after 6:30 p.m., police were notified a group of youth had assaulted one male youth. At that time police commenced an investigation into the assault and have since identified several of the youth believed to be involved.

On Thursday, August 23, 2018, Hamilton Police arrested two male youth in connection to the assault. The youth are expected to appear in court on Friday, September 21, 2018, to answer to the charge.
