Hamilton Police Make Overnight Arrests at East End Residence

As a result of receiving information a male was in possession of a firearm, Hamilton Police attended a residence in the area of Kenilworth Avenue North and Newlands Avenue, Hamilton. Shortly after 9:30 p.m., two Hamilton men were arrested and are scheduled to appear in court today to answer to several criminal offences. Police are currently still investigating and remain at the residence.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, shortly after 7:00 p.m., Hamilton Police received information a male was in possession of a firearm at a residence in the area of Kenilworth Avenue North and Newlands Avenue, Hamilton. Police closed streets in the immediate as a precaution while ERU, K9 and patrol units attended the residence and successfully arrested two males related to the incident. They will appear at the John Sopinka Courthouse located at 55 Main Street East, Hamilton later today to answer to several criminal offences.

Hamilton Police remain on scene as the investigation continues.
