Hamilton Police Officer Arrested for Fail to Remain

A 10-year member of the Hamilton Police Service was arrested Thursday, July 26, 2018, as a result of an off-duty incident relating to a Fail to Remain motor vehicle collision that occurred on December 8, 2017.

Constable Robert Beck, 35-years-old, of Hamilton, has been charged with one count of Fail to Stop or Remain under the Criminal Code. Beck has been with the Service since 2007.

Beck has been released on a Promise to Appear and will appear in court on August 27, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., at the John Sopinka Court House. Beck has been assigned to administrative duties.

As the matter is before the courts we will not be commenting further.
