Constable Ryan Cole, a six-year member of the Hamilton Police Service, has been charged by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) with one count of sexual assault causing bodily harm.

The charge is in relation to an on-duty incident that occurred in November 2020.

The officer has been placed on administrative duties and has no contact with the public.

The matter is now before the courts. Out of respect for the court process, Hamilton Police Service will not be providing further comment.
