Hamilton Police Request Help In Shooting Investigation.

Hamilton Police are investigating after reports of shots fired on Thursday evening on the central mountain. 

On Thursday, November 10, 2022,  at around 7p.m., Hamilton Police responded to possible shots fired in the area of Purnell Dr. Police attended and upon arrival, officers immediately secured the area and searched for anyone involved; however, the suspects had fled. Through continued investigation, police can confirm a shooting incident occurred. There are no  injuries reported to police at this time and checks at local hospitals produced negative results.

The investigation has been taken over by Division Three Criminal Investigation Branch. Detectives believe the shooting is targeted and are appealing to area residents to check their security cameras between the hours of 6:50 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. for any suspicious activity. Alternatively if you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage that would be suitable for review, please contact investigators.
