Annual Awards Night celebrates the heroic efforts of Hamilton citizens and the excellence and achievements of the sworn and civilian members of Hamilton Police Service

Tuesday, May 14

Coffee with a Cop, ask questions and share what’s on your mind over a cup of coffee. There are no agendas, no speeches – just conversation. Let’s chat about the issues that are most important to you.

Wednesday, May 15

Chief for a Day: Competition was huge as Grade 6 students across the city competed for Chief for a Day. Over 200 essay submissions were received identifying, “If you were Chief how would you make our community safe?” Help us welcome four student winners as they will be taking on the role of Chief, Deputy and Superintendent for the day.

  • Central Station, 155 King William Street, Hamilton

Cram-a-Cruiser: Hamilton Police will be attending 27 schools across Hamilton throughout the day, as students compete in the competition Cram-a-Cruiser. This is Hamilton’s largest one-day school food drive. Hamilton Food Share located at 339 Barton Street in Stoney Creek will be weighing these donations as they come in. Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be offering several hundred free pre-season tickets to the local school that raises the most food per student this year.

Thursday, May 16

“Police in the Park” is a community favourite as HPS will be putting out various exhibits and policing displays. The waterfront venue allows for great photo opportunities with our Forensic Services, Marine, K-9 and Mounted Unit.
