A 30-year-old Hamilton Police officer has been arrested on Breach of Trust charges and unauthorized use of a computer.

Myles Micallef, a six-year member, was arrested on November 9, 2020, in the Niagara Region. He was charged with seven counts of Breach of Trust and 9 counts of unauthorized use of a computer. All charges relate to the unauthorized use of police databases.

The member has been suspended with pay as per the legislative requirements of the Police Service Act of Ontario and is scheduled to appear in a Hamilton court on December 8, 2020.
