A young man is in serious condition with a brain injury after an altercation on September 8, 2018.

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 3:00 a.m., Hamilton Police attended the area of Hess Street North and King Street West to reports of an unconscious male being carried by two males.

Police identified that two males initially engaged in a consensual fight after an evening at Hess Village. The 23-year-old unconscious male was struck with a closed fist and transported to the hospital with a serious brain injury and remains in critical condition. 

Police identified the other male involved and charged him with Aggravated Assault. He was arrested and brought into custody with his bail opposed.
