Monica Chisar Remains Missing One Year Later

Today marks the one year anniversary of Monica’s disappearance. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Monica has been missing since July 11, 2018, and reported missing by her family on September 28, 2018. She was last seen by a friend in the area of Barton Street East and Parkdale Avenue North in Hamilton.

Monica is described as a white female, 29 years-of-age, 5’7 tall, 170 pounds, with green eyes and shoulder-length reddish/brown hair. Monica has a small star tattoo on the left side of her neck, a crown on her left wrist and her upper back has “Ethan” and “I love my daddy FC”.

As a result of further investigation, the Major Crime Unit has taken over this matter. An overall analysis of the disappearance of Monica Chisar has led investigators to believe that the possibility of foul play exists. However, it remains a possibility that Monica is alive and has simply chosen to disappear for reasons only known to her. Regardless, this matter warrants the further resources that the MCU can put into this investigation.

We are therefore reminding the community about Monica and are encouraging anyone to come forward with information. Monica didn’t have much of a history in Hamilton but she had a wide circle of associates across the GTA. It is also believed that she had a connection to Kitchener, which is also of interest to us.

If you have any information that could assist in the whereabouts of Monica, please contact Detective Sergeant Dave Oleniuk at (905)546-3829
