Mountain Area Assault and Collision Investigated

Hamilton Police continue to investigate an assault and motor vehicle collision that occurred during the early afternoon. Three people are in police custody in relation to the incident.

On Thursday, December 27, 2018, shortly before 2:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Queen Victoria Drive and Quaker Cresent, Hamilton, for a motor vehicle collision. Through investigation, police learned three occupants were travelling along Queen Victora in a silver Nissan when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The three occupants are currently in police custody. It is believed one of the occupants was previously involved in an assault, in the same area, that occurred moments before the collision.
