On Friday, December 13, 2019, the 1st degree murder charge was dropped against the 18-year-old suspect in the Devan Selvey homicide and the following new charges were laid

1. Assault with a Weapon
2. Administer Noxious Thing
3. Possession of Prohibited Weapon

The 18-year-old has been released on a Recognizance by the Justice of the Peace with conditions. A publication ban has been implemented and police will not be commenting further.

The 14-year-old youth remains charged with 1st degree murder in the death of Devan Selvey.
