Outstanding Robbery Suspect Arrested

Hamilton Police have arrested 21-year-old Grayson Aylesworth who was wanted for robbery and assaulting a store employee.

On December 31, 2019, Police responded to a robbery at the “Extra Variety Store” located at 1110 Cannon Street East in Hamilton. Three suspects entered the store and the employee was immediately stabbed multiple times and then store merchandise was stolen. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On January 6, 2020, shortly after a public appeal, police located Grayson Aylesworth in the area of Wentworth Street North in Hamilton. Aylesworth was arrested and brought into custody with his bail opposed. He now faces robbery and assault charges.

Early in the investigation, a second suspect was identified. On January 3, 2020, Sheldon Burkholder was arrested while entering a vehicle on St. Andrew’s Drive in Hamilton. He was brought into custody with his bail opposed.

  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm

Charged: Grayson Robert Aylesworth (male, 21-years-old) Hamilton resident

Charges:

  • Robbery
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm

Police continue to investigate as they gather information about the outstanding third suspect.
