Police Appeal to Witnesses to a Fatal Fail to Remain Collision

On Sunday January 12, 2020 at approximately 12:15am on Upper Wellington St. at Inverness Ave. E. a 29 year old Hamilton male pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle described as a dark SUV or van. The vehicle did not stop and continued southbound on Upper Wellington St., turning right (westbound) onto Queensdale Ave. The male died from his injuries at the scene.

Investigators are suggesting the operator of this vehicle contact police.

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision and is urging local residents, businesses and drivers who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident to contact them.
