Police Arrest Males Involved in Tim Horton's Shooting Incident

Firearm Recovered

Members of the Hamilton Police Service arrested two males involved in the weekend shooting incident at a downtown Tim Horton's restaurant. The males are scheduled to appear in court later today to answer to several charges.

On Monday, May 13, 2019, Detectives from the Central Criminal Investigative Bureau continued the investigation of the weekend shooting incident at Tim Horton's Restaurant, located at 239 King Street West.

Central Criminal Investigative Bureau Detectives and other police units were able to identify the shooter. He was arrested in the area of Jackson Street West and Caroline Street South. Police located a firearm on the suspect upon his arrest.

A second male, unrelated to the shooting, was also arrested at this time and charged with drug offences.

A third male, who was present but not directly involved in the shooting, was arrested after a brief foot chase in the area of George Street and Hess Street South. He was found to be in possession of illicit drugs.

The three arrested parties are scheduled to appear at the John Sopinka Courthouse today for Bail Hearings.

The investigation is ongoing and as evidence dictates further charges will be laid.

  • Male, 23-years-of-age of no fixed address

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking-Cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime under $5000
  • Fail to comply recognizance X2
  • Breach of probation

ACCUSED #3

  • Male, 15-years-of age from Hamilton

CHARGES

  • Possession of a controlled substance-Percocet
  • Possession of controlled substance-Clonazepam
