Police Investigate Fatality in Eastgate Mall Parking Lot

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate a collision that resulted in the death of a Stoney Creek man.

On Sunday, April 12, 2020, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police and Emergency Service partners attended 75 Centennial Parkway North, Hamilton for a single-vehicle collision. Initial information provided to police described a black 2018 Ford SUV travelling eastbound through the parking lot, striking the LCBO building. The driver, a 66-year-old man from Stoney Creek succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

With the information available at this time, police believe speed played a role in the collision. The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the possibility of other contributing factors.
