Hamilton Police detectives continue to investigate a late-night assault that sent a male in his early twenties to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On Monday, September 23, 2019, shortly before midnight, Hamilton Police received information about an assault in the area of Gainsborough Road and Keats Road. Police responded to the area and located a male in his early twenties who was suffering from facial injuries. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male is not cooperating with police.

A medical assessment has indicated the injuries sustained are not believed to have occurred as a result of gunfire.
