Police Lay Charges in Assault Investigation

The continued investigation into an assault and subsequent single motor vehicle collision resulted in several parties being arrested and police laying a variety of criminal charges.

On Thursday, December 27, 2018, Hamilton Police investigated a disturbance in the area of Queen Victoria Road and Quaker Crescent. The entire incident included two physical altercations between males, a single motor vehicle collision and the subsequent arrest of four parties. During the arrest procedure, three police officers were assaulted by one of the parties.

Three parties will appear in court today to answer to charges and the fourth person was released with a future court date.

The investigation into the collision continues.
