Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Suspects in Parking Lot Assault

Hamilton Police continue to investigate the parking lot assault of a 64-year-old man. The incident was captured on security video and as is now being released in an effort to identify the suspects and hold them responsible.

On Friday, June 6, 2019, shortly after 4:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to an assault that occurred in the parking lot of the Mountain Plaza Mall located at 659 Upper James Street. The victim, a 64-year-old man was driving through the lot when a dispute occurred regarding the right of way and the flow of traffic. The suspect who was a passenger in the other vehicle involved, exited the vehicle, confronted the victim and assaulted him, which resulted in him receiving significant facial injuries. Several bystanders came to the aid of the victim and one attempted to stop the suspect, who had returned to a silver sedan being driven by a female. While attempting to flee, the female driver struck the bystander, rolling him onto the hood of the car and carrying him through the parking lot, before he fell to the ground. The occupants of the vehicle did not stop and render assistance to the bystander.

The suspect vehicle was last seen quickly leaving the mall.

Hamilton Police seek the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects and the vehicle used.

Suspect 1: Male, approximately 25 years old, 5’9”-5’10” tall, thin-medium build with short brown hair

Suspect 2 (driver): Female, mid-20s with blonde hair

Suspect Vehicle: Four dour silver car
