Police Seek Assistance with Stabbing Incident Investigation

Hamilton Police continue to investigate a stabbing incident that sent a 21-year-old Hamilton man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Residents in the area of Main Street East and Victoria Avenue South are urged to check their security cameras for suspicious activity and contact police.

On Tuesday, February 4, 2020, shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police received information about an injured male in the parking lot of Canadian Tire, located at 304 Main Street East. Upon arrival, police located a 21-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. The area was secured as police conducted a search and canvassed for witnesses.

Central Division detectives continue to investigate the incident and at this time area residents are urged to check their security cameras for suspicious activity and to contact police.

The victim is not cooperating with police.
