Police Seek Assistance with Identifying Convenience Store Robber

Hamilton Police are asking the public for assistance with identifying a male who is believed to be responsible for five convenience store robberies this month. No injuries were incurred during the incidents.

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, shortly after 10:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a robbery incident at the Big Bee Convenience Store located in the area of Barton Street East and Ottawa Street North. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. He indicated he was in possession of a weapon but it was not seen. No one was injured during the incident.

On Sunday, February 10, 2019, shortly before 10:18 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a robbery incident at the Extra Variety Store located in the area of Cannon Street East and Rosslyn Avenue North. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. He was in possession of a knife; however, no one was injured during the incident.

On Saturday, February 16, 2019, shortly before 1:30 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a robbery incident at the Big Bear located in the area of King Street East and Gage Avenue South. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. He was in possession of a knife; however, no one was injured during the incident.

On Sunday, February 17, 2019, shortly after 1:30 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a robbery incident at the Hasty Market convenience store located in the area of Kenilworth Avenue North and Britannia Avenue. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. He was in possession of a knife; however, no one was injured during the incident.

On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, shortly after 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a robbery incident at the Big Bee Variety Store located in the area of Cannon Street East and Wentworth Street North. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. He was in possession of a knife; however, no one was injured during the incident.

Hamilton Police believe one male is responsible for these incidents.
