Hamilton Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place last night in the east end of the city. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, shortly before 9:00 p.m., Hamilton Police received information about possible gunshots being fired in the area of Ottawa Street North and Barton Street East. Officers immediately responded, secured the area and located evidence to support a shooting incident had occurred. Through continued investigation, police believe multiple vehicles were involved in the incident.

At this time there are no reported injuries to police.
