Police Seek Assistance with Street Robbery Investigation

Hamilton Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Beach Boulevard and are reminding the public to be aware of their surroundings at all time. The incident involved a female who was walking her dogs and was assaulted by an unknown male who attempted to steal her pets.

On Monday, December 21, 2020, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the victim was walking her dogs in the area of Beach Boulevard and North Park Avenue when she was approached by an unknown male. The male initiated a conversation with the victim. He then indicated that he wanted her dogs. The victim denied his request and the male assaulted her while attempting to gain control of her dogs. The male was unsuccessful as a result of the resistance from the victim and fled the area.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Hamilton Police are reminding the public to be aware of their surroundings at all times. When walking alone at night, stay in well-lit areas and when possible walk with another person.
