Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Assault Suspects

Hamilton Police detectives continue to investigate an early morning assault that sent a Hamilton Cab driver to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

On Thursday, September 26, 2019, shortly before 2:20 a.m., Hamilton Police received information about an assault in the area of Main Street East and Catharine Street South. Police responded to the area and located a male in his late forties suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The victim, a Hamilton Cab driver had picked up a male and female fare in the area of Absinthe Bar, located on King William Street. There was a disagreement about the fare at which time the driver pulled over in the area of Main Street East and Catharine Street South. The suspects then proceeded to assault the driver before fleeing.

  • 6’0 feet
  • 26-28 years of age
  • Skinny build
  • Clean-shaven
  • short hair with yellow colouring
  • wearing blue jeans and a black shirt

Female Suspect

  • Caucasian
  • 6’0 feet
  • early thirties
  • skinny build
  • long blonde hair
  • wearing blue jeans and a grey long sleeve shirt
