Police Seek Witnesses to Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision

Hamilton Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred last night in the area of Upper Wentworth and East 24th Street. Witnesses are asked to contact police with information.

On Thursday, November 29, 2018, shortly before 7:00 p.m., Emergency Services responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Upper Wentworth Street at East 24th Street, Hamilton.

The Investigation revealed a pedestrian entered onto the roadway when he was struck by a 2018 Toyota Corolla, travelling southbound on Upper Wentworth Street. The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated with police.

The pedestrian, a 93-year-old Hamilton man was provided medical care; however, he succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the incident and no charges have been laid at this time.
