On January 31st, 2020 Hamilton Police responded to the area of Barton St E/Ottawa St N regarding a suspicious male. As Officers arrived they came across the male suspect who immediately fled on foot. During the foot chase, the male brandished a firearm and is believed to have discharged several rounds in the direction of pursuing Officers.

The suspect is described as white male in his 20's, wearing all black, clean shaven, approx 5'7-5'10 with a thicker build. He was wearing a blonde wig at the time of the incident.

This investigation is ongoing and members of the Emergency Response Unit and Canine Unit are still in the area of Ottawa St N /Cannon St E actively searching for the male suspect.
