The CIBC bank on Barton Street East was robbed during the mid-afternoon hours. The suspect is still outstanding.

On September 5, 2018, shortly after 2:30 p.m., a lone male entered the CIBC bank at 393 Barton Street East, Hamilton. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the teller fill up a paper bag with money. The teller provided the male with an undisclosed amount of money before he exited the bank and left in a waiting vehicle. There were no injuries.

Suspect description: White male, 35-40-years, tan skin, trimmed bread, brown hair and a thin build.
