Single Motor Vehicle Collision Marks the Third Driving Related Fatality of the Year

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, shortly after 6:00 p.m., emergency crews were called to the intersection of Valley Road and York Road for a single motor vehicle collision.

A 48-year-old Dundas man was operating his Honda Civic westbound on York Road when he lost control and struck a large tree. EMS transported the male to a local hospital where he succumbed to the injuries sustained from the collision.

Factors that caused the collision are still under investigation.

This collision marks the first driver death and the third overall fatality on Hamilton roads for 2018.
